WTW Masterminds Community Recycling Scheme

As a part of our CSR policy we work to constantly consider ways in which to limit our carbon footprint. We also make an effort to work with the local community as far as possible.

With a view to these considerations, one member of staff – Natasha (General Office Assistant) – has recently masterminded a recycling scheme which utilises the waste of our neighbouring businesses as well as saving Wall to Wall Comms money in packaging materials.

We sent a request to all of our neighbouring businesses to donate to us their paper waste. The response was extremely positive and we now collect shredding, cardboard, bubblewrap etc from a variety of local businesses and organistaions including a dentist, a residential home, and an accountancy firm. We are able to use these materials in our extremely busy dispatch department which contributes grately to the efficiency, environmental and financial, of Wall to Wall Comms.

So, massive thanks to all of the companies who have shown such enthusiasm and positivity to this scheme and thanks to Natasha who has shown environmental and business sense in coming up with this solution to a lack of local recycling facilities.

We would certainly encourage other businesses to recycle each other’s waste – where possible. It’s a great ‘green’  way to make contact with, and get to know, your neighbouring businesses!
